Position Overview
1st Choice Hurricane Protection is seeking a skilled Lead Shutter Installer to support residential and commercial hurricane protection projects throughout Southwest Florida.
This role is responsible for accurate, efficient installation of shutters and related systems. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with tools, solving installation challenges, working at height, and maintaining a professional standard of workmanship on every job.
Key Responsibilities
- Measure and assess installation areas to confirm proper fit and alignment.
- Install shutters, screens, accordion systems, and related components so they are securely mounted and function correctly.
- Use hand tools and power tools for installation work, including caulking where needed.
- Perform drywall repairs and trim carpentry as required during installation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow company safety procedures on every job site.
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members throughout the installation process.
Qualifications
- Experience installing hurricane shutters, screens, accordion systems, or similar exterior building products.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used for installation work.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability and willingness to work on swing stages and scaffolding.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with drywall repair and trim carpentry related to installation work.
- Strong customer communication skills.
- Experience completing residential and commercial installation projects.
Compensation & Benefits
- $23.00 - $27.00 per hour.
- Piece pay available.
- Company vehicle provided for work use.

- After 90 days, employees are eligible for 10+ additional company-paid days off during the calendar year. Dates are selected by management.
