Position Overview
1st Choice Hurricane Protection is seeking an experienced Lead Window Installer to join our installation team. This position focuses on the installation of windows, glass, and doors for residential and commercial properties throughout Southwest Florida.
The ideal candidate has hands-on construction and installation experience, works safely and efficiently, and takes pride in completing each project to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Install windows and glass in residential and commercial properties according to project specifications.
- Perform caulking and sealing to support weatherproofing and energy efficiency.
- Install and hang doors as required by the project scope.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively throughout the installation process.
- Collaborate with crew members to complete projects on time and according to safety requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site throughout each installation.
- Identify installation issues and use sound problem-solving skills to maintain quality workmanship.
Qualifications
- Experience with window, glass, and door installation.
- Knowledge of glass installation methods and safety practices.
- Ability to build, fabricate, and install construction components as required.
- Familiarity with door hanging procedures.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions on active construction sites.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and a consistent focus on quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of an installation crew.
- Existing helper or installation partner. Qualified candidates may bring their helper.
Compensation & Benefits
- $25.00 - $30.00 per hour.
- Piece pay available.
- Company vehicle provided for work use.
- Health, dental, and vision benefits available after 60 days.
- Paid vacation available after 1 year.
- After 90 days, employees are eligible for 10+ additional company-paid days off during the calendar year. Dates are selected by management.
