Position Overview
1st Choice Hurricane Protection is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to oversee multiple hurricane protection projects at the same time, including hurricane shutter and impact window and door installations.
This role requires strong construction knowledge, hands-on hurricane protection experience, excellent communication, and the ability to independently manage installations from start to completion while identifying potential issues before they affect the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise multiple hurricane shutter and impact window and door projects simultaneously.
- Manage installation activity from project start through completion.
- Review project details, construction plans, Florida Product Approvals, and Notices of Acceptance as required.
- Verify contract details including frame and glass colors, grids, door swings, and sliding glass door configurations.
- Recognize existing site conditions, areas of concern, and special circumstances before and during installation.
- Coordinate around building inspections and project requirements.
- Travel to multiple job sites throughout the workday.
- Communicate professionally with clients, installers, and internal team members.
- Adapt quickly as project priorities and job site needs change.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of hurricane protection experience.
- Hands-on experience installing impact windows, doors, and hurricane shutters.
- General construction knowledge.
- Ability to read and understand construction plans.
- Experience reading and understanding Florida Product Approvals and Notices of Acceptance.
- Knowledge of impact window and door products, including brands such as ES Windows, PGT, Shwinco, Jeld-Wen, Therma-Tru, Plastpro, CGI, and WinDoor.
- Working knowledge of how hurricane shutters are built and installed.
- Familiarity with building inspections.
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
- Ability to climb a ladder.
- Professional and presentable appearance when working with clients.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- English proficiency required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project management or field supervision experience.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple active installations.
- Strong ability to identify project risks and resolve issues before they affect schedule or quality.
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting salary of $65,000 per year.
- Company vehicle provided for work use.

- After 90 days, employees are eligible for 10+ company-paid days off each calendar year. Dates are selected in advance by management.
