Position Overview
1st Choice Hurricane Protection is hiring Window Helpers to join our window and door installation crews. This is a full-time, hands-on role for individuals who are comfortable using basic power tools, working on ladders, lifting heavy materials, and learning in the field.
We provide training and offer room for advancement within the company. Pay starts at $18.00 per hour and may increase based on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist installation crews with window and door installation projects.
- Handle tools, materials, and job site setup as directed by the installation team.
- Safely lift and move windows, doors, and other installation materials.
- Use basic hand tools and power tools as required.
- Climb ladders and work safely in active job site conditions.
- Follow crew instructions, company procedures, and job site safety requirements.
- Help maintain clean and organized work areas.
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of power tools.
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely.
- Ability to climb ladders and work in field conditions.
- Clean driving record.
- Dependable work habits and willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous construction, installation, or hands-on trade experience is helpful but not required.
- Interest in developing long-term window and door installation skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a crew.
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting pay of $18.00 per hour, with pay determined by experience.
- Weekly pay.
- Training provided.
- Room for advancement within the company.
- Health, vision, and dental benefits available after 60 days.
- After 90 days, employees are eligible for 10+ company-paid days off during the year. Dates are selected by management.
