Integrated Roll Screen and Roll Shutter Installed on 1st Ave S. in Naples, FL

When we install a roll shutter and a roll screen, we integrated the two together in a way to minimize the amount of space needed for the reels as well as match the existing architectural details of the home.

This photo shows the Roll Screens and the Roll Shutters in the up position, giving an open feeling and look out to the pool area.

The roll screens are lowered halfway down for this shot. Everything can be operated via wireless handheld remote control. Integrated Roll Shutter and Roll Screen in Closed Position
This is the way the home looks with the Roll Screen in the down position. I love the fact that by adding these rolling screens it brings the outdoors in when in the open position, and dramatically improves your view and enjoyment.
Here it is fully protected with both the Roll Screen and the Roll Shutter in the down position, ready to protect your home with all that mother nature has to throw at it.

In this photo, we have the same configuration of Roll Screens and Roll Shutters as the other openings above. As you can see, it really blurs the line between indoor space and outdoor living space.

With the screens in the down position, it offers more separation visually while offering great insect protection.
When the Roll Shutters are in the down position, the outdoor furniture is protected, the home is protected and more secure.

Vinyl Impact Windows Installed In The Shadow Wood Preserve Community, Fort Myers, FL

This retrofit vinyl impact window installation was done in mid October 2014 on Misty Lake CT inside the The Shadow Wood Preserve Community in Fort Myers Florida.
This Fort Myers Home rests in the Shadow Wood Preserve Community has recently undergone some strength and safety improvements, not to mention the curb appeal and energy savings the new vinyl Impact windows contributed. This picture shows two vinyl impact casement windows with a vinyl impact half circle on top. The separate windows are connected together with a structural member we call a mullion. This mullion is actually put into the window opening and bolted in place before the windows are installed, making a very strong install.
This picture gives you a look at a vinyl window mullion before installation. You can see how thick the aluminum is, this mullion is designed to take impacts from hurricane force winds driving debris into your window!
This photo shows a vinyl impact window that we call a tombstone window, simply because it’s shape resembles an old style tombstone. We can match any shape window you may have in your home, the designs we offer are endless.
This Vinyl Impact window is a half circle shape and you can see the quality and craftsmanship our professional installers put into each and every install we do.
In this photo we have a standard fixed window. nothin fancy, just a regular rectangle window. You can still see the metal panel anchors on the top and bottom of the window opening. We will be removing these and patching then re-painting the stucco band to match. This will clean up the overall look of the home, and offers maintenance free protection with energy savings for a long time.
This type of window is called a single hung window. The lower portion moves up and down to allow vent. This vinyl impact single hung window is one of the most common types of windows in Florida, and across the country.
Last but not least is another picture window. This time it is in a shower area up high to offer light into the shower, yet provide privacy to the user. This hurricane impact vinyl window will provide great service for many years.

Give us a call, and let our knowledgeable staff show you what we have to offer, and help educate you on hurricane protection to make the selection process easy! 239-325-3400

Hurricane Roll Down Shutters Enclosing Lanai in Bonita Springs, FL

This Hurricane Roll Down Shutters Enclosing Lanai job was installed in early October 2014
In this photo, you can see the Roll Down Shutter is in the up position, allowing full light and view from the lanai. The post in the center was a structural post that was part of the original construction and needed to remain, so we designed our shutters to fit within the post.
This picture shows the Roll Shutter in the half way up, or half way down position, depending on your mood, lol. One thing to notice on this shutter is that it is enclosing all the furniture inside the lanai. That means no more moving all the “stuff” you have out there when a threat of a hurricane comes, or if you’re worried about it getting beat by the sun, or pelted from the rain. Roll them shutters down and you are now protected!
Here is the same shutter in the fully closed position. Notice how clean and secure this area now is. We are replacing the exposed windows and doors that are outside the shutter with new impact rated ones. These Roll Shutters can be lifted and lowered by using a simple remote control. One press of a button any your secure, another press and you have full sun and view of this gorgeous pool!

Give us a call, and we will visit you at your home and convenience to consult you on the best protection for your home! 239-325-3400!

Hurricane Roll Shutters Installed on an existing home on Marco Island FL

This job was installed by 1st Choice Windows and Shutters LLC at the end of August 2014.
Here you can see the roll Down Shutter covering both sliding glass doors in the pool area. The one on the left only goes a little higher than the door since the ceiling is sloped. The second shutter is all the way to the ceiling making it feel for substantial, and will look better when the shutter is open! You can also notice clear hurricane panels installed on the mitered glass window on the right. Clear panels are the best in this application, easy to deploy, can see out and lets light in. The angled window makes it hard for other shutters to be installed, but clear panels go right up 🙂
In this photo, you can see what we call a track on wall installation. This simply means the tracks that the shutter slats are guided through are mounted directly to a wall. This installation method is the simplest and offers the least amount of bulk to your new Roll Shutters. Roll Shutters on Marco Island FL.

You can see more track on wall Roll Down Shutters in this picture. You can also notice a universal at the top left of each box. This is to attach a hand crank to be able to manually open and close the shutters without electricity in case of a power outage. Otherwise, a wireless handheld remote control can operate the shutters from inside or out.

Give us a call and we will help you through the process in getting your home protected! 239-325-3400

Clear Panel Installation on New Construction Home in Fort Myers, FL

This Clear Panel installation on a New Construction home is located in the Miromar Lakes Community of Fort Myers, FL. This type of Hurricane Protection is simple and affordable, yet very effective.
The photo above is of a mitered glass bay window in a new construction home. We work for homeowners as well as some premier builders providing protection to SW Florida properties. If you look closely at the clear hurricane panels, you may notice there is a protective plastic layer on the panels. This is to ensure the new homeowner gets crystal clear panels when they deploy them in the threat of a hurricane and prevents scratches during transport and installation. This is just one of the fine touches we put on our products to meet the high quality standards we have.
You can see that we match the door and window colors on our track extrusions for our installations. If needed, we can do custom colors to match trim or house colors. Once the shutters are installed, we number them to make deployment of the clear panels a snap.
Once the shutters are installed we will them take the clear panels down, we chain them to a wall in the garage or other designated area to keep them out of the way and in perfect condition. The chain also secures them so they won’t accidentally fall and damage property or cause injury.

Give us a call and we will help you through the process in getting your home protected! 239-325-3400
